Assistant Manager: Supply Chain Management Salary: R311 784 – R 376 626 p.a. exclusive of benefits Location: Namaqua District Office – Springbok (Ref No.: SAS 16/06/01)
Requirements: Candidates should hold a B Degree or 3 year tertiary qualification with Accounting or Purchasing and Mathematics as major subjects coupled with 3-5 years relevant experience; Knowledge, experience, interpretation and application of accrual accounting and GRAP standards. Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations on Public Entity and other relevant regulations are a requirement. Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP or AccPacc or accrual accounting compliant systems is necessary. Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence are prerequisites.
Duties: The incumbent will implement the operational plan of demand and acquisition unit. Manage supplier database and ensure that suppliers are rotated; liaise with Service Providers in respect of supply and delivery of goods procured; Implement procurement policies and practices with applicable GRAP standards, SA-GAAP and IFRS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Preferential Procurement Framework Act and other various Regulations. Manage stores, assets and inventory and assist in managing the resources in the unit.

2.State Accountant

Requirements: Candidates should hold a B Degree or 3 year tertiary qualification with Financial Accounting as major subject coupled with 1-2 years relevant experience; Knowledge, experience, interpretation and application of accrual accounting and GRAP standards will serve as added advantage. Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations on Public Entity and other relevant regulations are a requirement. Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP or AccPacc or accrual accounting compliant systems is necessary. Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence are prerequisites.
Duties: The incumbent will implement the operational plan of the Financial Accounting unit. Clear suspense accounts. Verify and authorise valid journals and other transactions on the system. Assist in analysing trial balance. Implement financial accounting policies and practices with applicable GRAP standards, SA-GAAP and IFRS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations and other various legislation.

3.Practitioner: Management Accounting – Internal Control x 2 posts

Salary: R262 272 – R308 943 p.a plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Location: Regional Office – Kimberley(Ref No.: SAS 16/06/04) NB: The position is on contract capacity for a Project on Internal Controls until 31 March 2017. The incumbents will be expected to work on a tight schedule and must be able to meet deadlines.

Requirements: Candidates should hold a B Degree or 3 year tertiary qualification in Finance/auditing with accounting as a major subject; 1-2 years relevant experience; Knowledge of relevant prescripts and policies with special emphasis on Government, internal audit, PFMA, PPPFA, GRAP standards as well as ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is recommended. Computer literacy is essential and a valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.

Duties: The incumbent will assist the Unit in ensuring implementation of Finance Policies and Regulations; Monitor compliance to policies and procedures and recommend necessary actions to be taken by management; Implement control measures; Investigate and analyse cases of financial misconduct; compile reports on cases of irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure Perform secretarial duties for governance structures
